Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
We respect your privacy and protect your personal data in line with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its executive regulations. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it and what your rights are.
1. Who is responsible
IThub, Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, is the controller of your personal data on the Platform. You can reach our data protection officer through the Contact us page.
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, company name, email, mobile number, password (hashed) and language.
Request data: details of bookings, RFQs and maintenance contracts, attached files, addresses, branches, messages and reviews.
Provider data: company details, legal documents such as the commercial register and tax card, and team member details.
Job seeker data: experience, skills, CV, assessment results and job applications.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, notification tokens, usage logs, and analytics data where enabled.
3. Why we use your data
To run your account and provide the Platform's services, route your requests to suitable providers, send notifications by email, WhatsApp and push, verify companies, prevent fraud and abuse, improve the Platform and meet our legal obligations.
We process your data based on your consent, to deliver the service you asked for, to meet a legal obligation, or for a legitimate interest that does not override your rights, as the law permits.
4. Sharing your data
We share with a provider only what it needs to handle your request, such as your name, contact details, request details and branch. A job seeker's data is shown only to the employers whose jobs they apply to.
We use service providers that process data on our behalf and on our instructions, including Supabase for database and file hosting, Resend for email, Meta for WhatsApp messages, Paymob for payments, Sentry for error monitoring and PostHog for analytics.
We do not sell your personal data, and we disclose it only with your consent or at the request of a competent authority under the law.
5. Transfers outside Egypt
Some data may be hosted on servers outside the Arab Republic of Egypt, for example in the European Union. This only happens under the controls and licenses set by the Personal Data Protection Law and its executive regulations, with your explicit consent where required, and with a level of protection no lower than that required in Egypt.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active, then for as long as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations or resolve disputes, after which we delete or anonymize it.
7. Your rights
Under Law No. 151 of 2020 you have the right to know what data we hold about you, to access it and get a copy, to correct or update it, to ask for it to be erased, to withdraw your consent at any time, to object to or restrict its processing, and to be told about any breach affecting it.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the Contact us page and we will respond within the period set by law. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Center.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), database-level access rules so each user sees only their own data, and private storage for documents and files. No protection is perfect, but we will notify you and the competent authorities of any material breach as the law requires.
9. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and measure usage. See the cookie policy for details.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We publish the new version on this page with its date and notify you of any material change.
